Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo hope of sealing a permanent move to Fenerbahce could be dashed after all as the Turkish side have failed to meet Everton of England asking prize of £6million agreed on in the summer.
The Turkish side are offering Everton £2million for the on-loan defender, £4million short of the fee agreed with the Merseysiders when the former Marseille man made the move to Turkey last summer.
Everton boss David Moyes has to sell in order to raise transfer funds again this summer and Yobo is one of the players he is keen to cash in on.
With three years still remaining on his contract Everton are well within their rights to demand a sizeable transfer fee.
But with Yobo unlikely to return to Goodison Park willingly, Fenerbahce will have to raise their bid significantly if the star is to avoid being stuck in pimbo.
