Minister of Foreign Affairs Calls for Speeding Up Implementation of the Agreements With Egypt

Sudan News Agency (Khartoum) 27 May 2011 Khartoum — Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, gave directives to follow up the implementation of the agreements signed with the Arab Republic of Egypt in the domains of industry, agriculture and trade besides reactivating the bilateral cooperation in aspects that would further cement the cooperation between the two countries.

Khartoum — The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Ahmed Karti has met the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan Abdal-Ghafar Al-Deeb. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and the outcomes of the recent visit of the Foreign Minister to Egypt as well as the meetings of the joint technical committee on implementation of the four freedoms which held meeting in Khartoum recently.

Karti affirmed importance of expediting steps to implement agreements signed by the two states, organization of trade exchange and the entrancement of cross border trade and investment, strengthening of political coordination between the two countries in all fields. He also stressed need to give due attention to the development projects in the domains of food security and infrastructures. Al-Deeb, meanwhile, reiterated his country desire to go a head with the implementation of joint understandings to develop relations and to bolster coordination at the highest levels between the two countries.
