Kenya Airways will launch flights to Chad’s capital city N’djamena mid next month. KQ announced yesterday that it will begin flights to Chad on 19th of June to operate via Cotonou, the capital city of Benin.

The airline is banking on the new route to strengthen its business in Central Africa, a land locked region in the continent that survives mostly on imports. “We are seeking to consolidate our presence in the African market by flying from every Capital in Africa by 2013. Our objective this year is to open 8 new destinations including N’djamena,” said Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer Titus Naikuni.

The airline will operate the route with a Boeing 737 – 800, two times a week every Sunday and Wednesday out of Nairobi.
