Dar Es Salaam — HCK Song’s Tanzanian defender Victor Costa and his compatriot Mohamed Mwarami of Ferroviario Maputo will today put their friendship aside when their teams clash in a Premier League match.

Costa, a former Simba Sports Club player, is one of KCK Song’s key players while Mwarani is Ferroviario Maputo’s first-choice goalkeeper.The two players have played an inspiration role for their respective teams’ impressive show in the Mocambola, Mozambique’s Premier League.

Currently, HCK are in the fourth position in the Mocambola standings, three places ahead of Ferroviario Maputo.

Mwarami told The Citizen by phone from Maputo yesterday that matches involving the two teams usually generate lots of interest in Mozambique.

Costa, on the other hand, predicted a tough match, adding that he was happy to face a team whose first-choice goalie is a Tanzanian. (Doris Maliyaga)
