    Lobito — The investments being made by the Angolan government in the central Benguela province in energy and water sectors are the guarantees and basis to stimulate national and foreign entrepreneurs to materialise their projects related to industry.

    This was said on Friday by the local director of industry department, Augusta Pinto.

    The director said so to Angop on Friday Catumbela Industrial area, where she met local businessmen.

    In addition, Augusta Pinto said that everything is being carried out so as to facilitate them the implementation of their projects without many constraints.

    Regarding power sector, the government is restoring since last year the Lomaum dam in Cubal region, which is planned to produce 60 megawatts and installing techniques in Lobito to generate 50 megawatts.

    Concerning water supply, the region has a Project dubbed “Aguas de Benguela”, which produces one cubic metre per second.

    A soon as the works finish, “Águas de Benguela” project will produce until 2012 at least 1.500 cubic per second.

    19 new factories were built in Benguela province.
