Cabinda — The vice governor of the northern Cabinda province, Aldina Matilde da Lomba, said on Thursday that the public discussion of the legislative package on media marked the beginning of a new stage for the emergence of a plural, responsible and impartial information.
The official, who represented the provincial governor, Mawete João Baptista, said so during the welcoming speech to the delegation of Media Ministry, led by the incumbent minister, Carolina Cerqueira, in Cabinda to debate the legislative package on social communication.
She said that the event will aimed at announcing the nation and world that the country has taken an important step for the emergence of an impartial, plural and responsible information, by respecting various opinions and expressions.
The vice governor also reminded that the new constitution must grant the multicultural, religious and ethical nature of the national population, in compliance with the constitution and law into force in Angola.
The event was attended by members of the local staff, journalists, scholars and representatives of community associations, among other individuals.
