After losing their opening the opening match against City Park Centre, former champions Kenya High will be all out to floor Ruaraka High School as the Cricket Kenya (CK) girls secondary schools league enter second week at Ruaraka on Saturday.
Kenya High, who were last year’s runners-up, started their campaign on a disappointing note, going down to defending champions City Parks Girls Centre by 42 runs in the third match of the Twenty20 league. Ruaraka also succumbed to debutants Mount Laverna in their opening match and will equally be chasing victory. Batting was the main undoing for both sides and in their opening matches and no player was able to put on a good show. Of all the 22 batters, only two players got into the double figures. Kenya High captain Noreen Muluhya said she expects her players to rise to the occasion and bat well. Her sentiments were also shared by her Ruaraka counterpart Maureen Rina who said she is optimistic her team will improve.
