Inhabitants of Elaberad Sub-Zone Celebrate Independence Day in Colorful Manner

THE GHALLYWOOD Film Academy, a film training institute is poised to change the face of the movie industry in Ghana and beyond. In line with this ambition Ghallywood has collaborated with the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) to trained 500 youth across the country in different disciplines of the movie industry. These students who passed out last year are currently engaged in various productions in their respective communities while about 450 are also currently receiving training at the Ghallywood African Film village located on the Accra- Ada road in the Greater Accra region.

Elaberad — The inhabitants of 13 administrative areas of Elaberad sub-zone celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day in a colorful manner.

Speaking on the occasion, the Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Tesfalem Bahta, pointed out that impressive achievements have been scored in expanding service-rendering institutions and stressed the need for continuous public participation for still greater accomplishments.

Sheik Abdu Amar on his part said that the local inhabitants have been relieved from a number of social problems thanks to the development programs implemented over the past 20 years.

Various cultural shows and sports competitions were staged on the occasion, thus to the celebrations.
