Johannesburg — President Jacob Zuma on Thursday congratulated Dr Ikililou Dhoinine on assuming the presidency of the Union of Comoros, the department of international relations and co-operation said.
Zuma commended the people and government of the Comoros for implementing a democratic transformation.
He expressed his appreciation to outgoing president Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi for the peaceful transfer of power following the December 2010 presidential elections.
