An ad hoc committee will take over the responsibility of vetting the nominees to the post of the Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice and the Director of Public Prosecution after attempts to reconcile the troubled justice and legal affairs committee membership failed.
Leader of Government business in parliament Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka says this will at least ensure the constitution implementation bills are not delayed due political wrangles in the crucial committee.
