A TOP lap dancing club has been shut amid claims City bankers paid £850-an-hour for threesomes in a stretch limo. Cops swooped after a two-month operation by vice squad officers at London’s famous Whites Gentleman’s Club.

Wealthy punters would hire out a white limousine for chauffeured sight-seeing tours around London’s top attractions including Big Ben.

But they were offered full sex with two busty hookers and champagne while on board, police allege. Manager Desmond Verdi, 33, was arrested on suspicion of controlling prostitution. His home in Romford, Essex, was also searched.

On Whites website, which features a snap of the car, a blurb reads: “Our new limousine service is very special.” It goes on to explain the route the limo takes around the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London and the London Eye.

Covert officers also claim sex was being sold for £650-an-hour in the club’s VIP rooms. Sources said the sexual services were only offered to high-rollers who initially spent large amounts of cash on lap-dances.

The club – which boasts sportsmen, TV hosts, bankers, and lawyers among its clients — is based doors from a police HQ and had a staggering turnover of £200,000-a-WEEK. Councillors suspended the club’s licence last night pending a full hearing.

Detective Inspector Kevin Hyland, of Scotland Yard’s Trafficking and Prostitution Unit, said: “Premises that operate in London as gentlemen’s clubs need to be sure that they comply with the strict rules that are required of them.”

A police spokesman added: “Detectives have carried out an operation at an East End club following allegations that sexual services were being offered on the premises.

“Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Human Exploitation and Organised Crime Command conducted searches at Whites Gentleman’s Club in Leman Street and arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of controlling prostitution for gain and various licensing offences.

“The operation was launched after police received intelligence that clients were being offered a variety of sexual services at the club.

“During the operation, officers spoke with women working at the club to establish what was taking place there and to see whether they required support.

“The arrested man was taken to a local police station for questioning. He has been bailed to return on 16 August.”
