Windhoek — It’s all set – the leo/NFA Cup final between Civics and Eleven Arrows is scheduled to take place in Walvis Bay on May 28t at the Kuisebmund Stadium in Walvis Bay, not at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek as was previously publicized by the NFA.
According to Tim Isaacs, who is a member of the NFA’s Competition Department, the matter of the final match having been moved to Walvis Bay was the decision of the organising committee of the tournament, after the committee had considered a number of issues.
“The attendance of the semi-finals at the Independence Stadium was very poor, so we thought if we played the final at the Kuisebmund Stadium, we would have more people on the stands, compared to the number of people we would have at the Independence Stadium,” said Isaacs.
Ali Akan’s Civilians will face the coastal giants Eleven Arrows without the service of their ever-present captain Heini Isaacks, who received two yellow cards from previous matches, leading to his suspension.
The match will start at 15h00 and entrance fee is N$ 30.
