Nairobi — Kenya Airways (KQ) has added N’Djamena to its expanding list of destinations as it seeks to grow its revenues from volumes amid rising operational costs that look set to shrink earnings in the global airline industry this year. KQ will be flying twice a week to the Chad capital, raising its African destinations to 44 and the total worldwide to 54.
The airline says it will be targeting business travellers from Africa and the Far East who will be travelling to oil-producing Chad on the back of increased business opportunities in the fifth largest African nation.
“Nairobi is a hub for African destinations and we will be targeting African and Far East business people going to Chad,” said KQ’s Chris Karanja.
