Caxito — A Technical Unit to Combat Hunger, led by the vice governor for economic matters, Domingos Guilherme, was created on Tuesday in the northern Bengo province by the local governor João Bernardo de Miranda.
Angop learnt that the unit will monitor the implementation of projects in the ambit of the integrated rural development and fight against poverty programmes, as well as assess periodically the rate of execution of the projects in the local administrations.
The unit will also be in charge of the correct harmonisation of the mentioned projects,with the provincial programmes aimed for the improvement of basic social services to the population, monitor the mobilisation and integration of chieftains and other socialstakeholders.
