Turkey national team coach Guus Hiddink insists that he is focused on his side’s match against Belgium but refuses to rule out a move to Chelsea thereafter.

Hiddink was the caretaker coach of the London club in 2009 and led the team to the semi-finals of the Champions League and also to FA Cup triumph. The Dutchman is reportedly a prime candidate to fill the vacant managerial post at Chelsea after Carlo Ancelotti’s departure on Sunday.

Hiddink stresses that he is concentrating on Turkey’s upcoming Euro 2012 qualifier against Belgium on June 3, but remains coy on his future after the game. As exclusively revealed by Goal.com at the end of April, the Dutchman will only consider his options after the crucial international match.

“I have heard a lot of rumours and speculation,” said the 64-year-old, according to ESPNSoccernet. “I have told the players they must focus on Belgium and the same goes for me. I am fully focused on getting the team ready for next Friday.

“I have in my career very few games. I want to do more with the players on a daily basis but that is impossible because I am national team manager. But I am not going into the speculation as I have to prepare the team and to make sure that no one can blame me afterward, saying I was concentrating on other things.

“I am not going into speculation, I am fully concentrated. I demand full commitment from myself so I will not delve into speculation. I am being forced by circumstances to go into a tunnel and exclude a little bit of the outside world.”

Turkey are currently third in Group A with nine points from five matches, a point fewer than second-placed Belgium, who have played a game more.
