The court ruling to stop the Kamukunji by-election was received with fury, anger, desperation and frustration as Narc-Kenya termed it ridiculous. Secretary-general Danson Mungatana said the decision by the court was unacceptable and amounted to courts trying to micro-manage electoral systems. “This is the most ridiculous decision by the court in the history of Kenya, courts have never stopped any elections even if the nominations are flawed,” Mungatana said.
The Garsen MP said Justice Musinga should have borrowed from the Court of Appeal ruling in a case pitting former MPs the late Kipkalya Kones and Kimani Wanyoike.
