Khartoum — The Egyptian Union of Chambers of Commerce has called, through a working paper it submitted to the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Foreign trade, for the development of commercial relations between Egypt and Sudan via establishment of joint industrial areas in the field of vehicle, leather and vegetable oil industries with the aim of joint production and importation to the Countries of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
The union urged establishment of giant farms for production of joint crops that the two countries are in need to besides adoption of the Egyptian – Sudanese Bank to creat joint projects to contribute to the foreign currencies of the two countries.
The Egyptian Union of Commercial Chambers affirmed importance of development and expansion in networks of transport, land road, railway lines and sea lines to link Sudan and Egypt to facilitate the trade movements to support import-export operations.
