The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has commenced investigation into allegations of corruption in the payment of Liberia’s domestic debts.
The LACC has accordingly written the Ministry of Finance to place a hold on payments to all claimants categorized as “Class Six” and further requested the Ministry to turnover all Thirty Four (34) files of these claimants to the Commission for investigation.
The Commission’s letter to the Ministry of Finance was prompted by initial investigation into allegation of corruption in domestic debts payment, which findings showed that two of the claimants, Valerie Hall and David Gbormie, who claims amount to US$538,000.00, have rendered no services to the Government of Liberia.
