Luanda — The secretary general of the Trade Union of Angolan Journalists (SJA), Luísa Rogerio, said Friday in Luanda that the approval of the “Legislative Package for the Media” will be fundamental for the full exercise of journalistic activities in the country.
The trade union leader said so to ANGOP on the sidelines of a meeting organised by the Media Ministry and chaired by the incumbent minister, Carolina Cerqueira, which aimed to collect contributions to enrich the “legislative package” of the sector to be submitted briefly for public debate.
With the approval of the legislative package, she assured, the class will be better served in matters of regulation and self regulation of professional grade.
Attending the meeting, held in the auditorium of the Journalists Training Centre (Cefojor), were MPs, heads of public and private media organs, religious leaders, academics, representatives of civic and community associations, journalists among other people.
