Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he fully expects Jamie O’Hara to join Wolves permanently following a productive loan spell.

The 24-year-old failed to break into the first team at White Hart Lane before the turn of the year but has impressed since joining Wolves on loan in January, playing a key role as Mick McCarthy’s side secured their Premier League status on the final day of the season.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has already warned the club’s fans that the first team squad will have to be trimmed in order to comply with the Premier League’s 25-man squad rules, and Redknapp says he expects O’Hara to be among the casualties.

“I think he will probably go there to Wolves now,” Redknapp told reporters.

“I think it’s part of the deal. If they stay up there was an agreement that they’d buy him.”

But the 64-year-old was less willing to close the door on fellow loanee Robbie Keane, despite the striker’s unproductive stint at relegated West Ham.

“I haven’t written Robbie off at all. He is a top-class professional who has played over 100 times for his country,” he added.

“He captains the Republic of Ireland team. He is a top-class professional. He has to come back here and fight to play in the team now.”
