Mogadishu — Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, the president of Somali interim federal government of Somalia and Sharif Hassan Sheikh, the speaker of the parliament hold key meeting at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu, the capital of war ridden Somalia.
Sources told Shabelle Media Network that the meeting discussed the latest political rifts between the president and the speaker, resume the normal government works and also defuse the internal wrangle.
Reaching a unified decision about holding countries presidential and parliamentary elections was among the issues mooted in the discussions before attending UN meeting on Somalia that will be held in Nairobi in the days to come.
The speaker of Somali parliament is insisting holding elections while the president is dragging his feet.
