The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr Fred Pappoe has hinted that there is no guarantee that FIFA President Joseph Blatter will get every African vote ahead of next week’s FIFA elections.

Speaking to the BBC Sport, Mr Fred  Pappoe, who was one of 37 African representatives to endorse Blatter in Johannesburg on Sunday May 22, 2011 said there is still a possibility that some countries may not back Blatter.

“It was a collective decision taken by all those present but you’ll also notice that we shied away from appending signatures with that declaration…But we’re talking about elections through secret ballot, so there’s never a guarantee”, the BBC cites Mr Pappoe as saying.

But he was optimistic that the FIFA Boss will retain his seat.

“I’m quite sure it will go the way of Sepp Blatter – it’s quite difficult to topple the incumbent in any election,” Pappoe told the publication.

Sepp Blatter’s competitor is Qatar’s Mohammed Bin Hamman.
