Mogadishu — The newly formed election committee of Somalia on Friday expressed hope that the national elections will take place in Somalia in the mandated time.
Abdikarim Ali Farah, a member of the electoral committee formed by the speaker of the parliament, said that the work is going on according to plan
He said that the elections of the president and the speaker of the parliament will be held in August this year of 2011.
He said that the president of Somalia and his government came to the power through election and urged to accept holding it as their tenure ended.
