AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has declared his support for Carlo Ancelotti after he was sacked as Chelsea boss.
The Italian coach was given the news by owner Roman Abramovich after the defeat to Everton Sunday, but his former boss believes he will be in demand.
Galliani told reporters: “I spoke with Carlo and he will come to see me in the next few weeks.
“He is a great coach and he will find a great team which he deserves.”
Galliani also downplayed fears about striker Alexandre Pato’s injury ahead of the Copa America. His participation in the tournament was placed in doubt when he suffered a dislocated shoulder in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Udinese.
“Regarding Pato, he returned at 05:00 CET and now he is resting,” Galliani said.
“There are no breaks, just a dislocation of the shoulder which is now back in its place. It seems like he will be out for two or three weeks, in fact maybe just two.
“Who knows, maybe there is a hope he could play in the Copa America.”
