Jack Wilshere
and Andy Carroll are reportedly going to be left out of the England Under-21 squad for the European Championship tournament.

The tall striker’s injury worries prompted prior reports pointing towards the Liverpool man potentially being rested, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed his concerns at having his midfielder possibly participating in the tournament after a long, hard season at club level.

Now The Mirror reports that the England U-21 boss Stuart Pearce is expected to exclude both players from the final 23-man squad.

Wilshere has played over 50 games this season, while Carroll has been troubled by a thigh injury since making his £35 million move to Liverpool from Newcastle during the winter transfer window.
