Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is being tipped to make a PSV return in the summer, according to De Telegraaf.

Former Juventus shot-stopper Andreas Isaksson has been first choice for Fred Rutten’s men since filling in for Gomes, who left the club for Spurs in 2008.

And with Jeroen Zoet and Cassio Ramos relatively inexperienced, the Dutch paper reports PSV are looking to bring back the former Cruziero goalkeeper.

Tiny Sanders, PSV’s chief executive, said this week that the club want to bring players to Eindhoven who will have a better connection with the fans. Before Gomes went to Tottenham, he was a firm favourite with supporters.

A stumbling block to any such deal could be Tottenham’s reluctance to sell, after boss Harry Redknapp stated that he would remain the side’s No.1 next season, and the player’s wages. The Brazilian commands a reported £50,000 per week at White Hart Lane.

PSV qualified for the next season’s Europa League after missing out on the Champions League places by two points.
