PSV Eindhoven have issued a hands-off warning to Premier League clubs preparing a summer swoop for £11 million-rated winger Balazs Dzsudzsak.

Sporting director Marcel Brands insists that PSV are aiming to add to their squad rather than sell off their prize assets.

“We want to keep our best players and Dzsudzsak is one of those,” Brands told Goal.com. “He has signed a new contract a few months ago and we do not want him to leave. We know eventually players like Dzsudzsak and Erik Pieters will eventually leave but we do not need to sell them at the moment.”

The left-sided midfielder, who has scored 16 league goals and 24 in all competitions this season, plus weighed in with 11 Eredivisie assists, is being monitored by the leading clubs in England, Spain and Italy, including Liverpool and Manchester United.

According to Brands, the Hungary international, 24, will not be linking up with PSV legend Ruud van Nistelrooy next season even though the out-of-contract Dutchman will quit German side Hamburg.

“At this moment we are not talking about it,” said the PSV chief. “Of course, Ruud van Nistelrooy is always welcome at our club but I don’t think he will be coming back.

“It would be very difficult for us to make it happen. For that kind of player there is always a lot of interest. I spoke with his agent a month ago and he has a lot of other options in other countries. I think that Holland is not his first choice.”

Spanish and English clubs, including Tottenham, are understood to be leading the chase for the former Real Madrid and Manchester United centre-forward.

Nevertheless, Brands admits that PSV are in the market for strikers during the forthcoming window.

“We are going to look for three or four new players,” he explained. “The main position for us is strikers. There is one striker here who is injured and one who is finishing a loan spell.

“We need two new strikers and one midfielder. Those are the main positions. We always look first in Holland and then we might look at other markets.”
