Luanda — The Head of State of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, considered on Wednesday in Luanda as positive his meeting with the Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos, saying that Angola will monitor the situation of his country in drafting a plan for peace.
Speaking to the press, Andry Rajoelina, said that he requested support to the Angolan President in finding a solution to overcome the current transition moment of his country.
Malagasy statesman said that his country is moving toward to the restoration of the constitution and therefore Madagascar needs to share experience with Angola in order to overcome the crisis that started in 2009.
At Luanda’s 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Andry Rajoelina was bid farewell by the Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister, George Chicoty, vice governors of Luanda for economic matters, Manuel Ventura Catraio, technical and infrastructures issues, Carla Leitão Ribeiro de Sousa.
Andry Rajoelina expressed the intention of his country to re-launch the bilateral co-operation with Angola.
Madagascar is a member state of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), but the country is suspended until it holds elections and thus restores constitutional order in the country.
