Nairobi — The Ministry of Internal Security has been asked to furnish the House with details of the circumstances under which athlete Samuel Wanjiru died.
ODM Nominated MP Millie Odhiambo also asked the ministry to present information on cases of domestic violence that have been reported to the police since January 2010.
The MP wants the House updated on the status of the Domestic Violence and Family Protection Bill and how the governments can help couples address marital conflict.
“We don’t want to lose our young people,” she said, citing the death of a former television reporter.
Assistant minister Orwa Ojodeh promised to deliver a statement on Wanjiru on Thursday.
