From Nicki (Nicki Minaj) to RiRi (Rihanna) to Weezy (Lil Wayne) to Breezy (Chris Brown) to Yeezy (Kanye West) and more listed in the 2011 BET Awards nomination list, the Ghana Bwouy aka D-Black also notched a spot in the ‘Best International Act (Africa)’ category.
He will be battling it out with 2Face Idibia (Nigeria), D’ Banj (Nigeria), Fally Ipupa (DR Congo), Angelique Kidjo (Benin) and Teargas (South Africa).
“I’m grateful to God up above for putting me there, I really appreciate being in this position especially with just a debut album to my credit. Not forgetting the all the Ghanaian fans and media that have my back. I love and appreciate you all. God Bless Ghana, God Bless Africa”, D-Black said when he was interviewed by Ghana Music.com
The much expected 2011 BET Awards will be held on June 26th, 2011 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The all star-studded, BET Awards will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.
