FA dismiss Everton’s appeal over Diniyar Bilyaletdinov’s weekend sending off

Everton will have to make do without winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov after an FA disciplinary panel dismissed the Merseyside club’s appeal against the winger’s sending off.

The Russian received his marching orders just five minutes after coming on to the pitch during his side’s defeat to West Brom at the weekend.

The dismissal left Everton’s coaching staff fuming, with manager David Moyes refusing to take part in any post-match interviews.

Everton had hoped to get the red card overturned after receiving a statement from James Morrison, the player on the end of the challenge, defending the Russian.

However, on Tuesday they were informed that referee Anthony Taylor’s decision would be upheld.

The sending off rules the 26-year-old winger out of his side’s final Premier League match of the season at home to Chelsea, as well as the Toffees’ first two league fixtures of the new campaign.
