Kaduna – A Kaduna Chief Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday ordered that a 25-year-old watchman, Imrana Ishaku be remanded in prison for forcefully having anal sex with a nine-year-old boy.
The accused person is being prosecuted on a two-count charge of abduction and having unnatural sex with the boy contrary to section 272 and 284 of Penal Code.
The Police Prosecutor, Mr Simeon Usman, told the court that the accused was reported by the boy’s father.
He said the accused had in January 2010 abducted the boy and had unnatural sex with him several times.
When the matter was read and interpreted in Hausa language , the accused said he understand the charges.
However, the Chief Magistrate, Mr Nasiru Idris, said that he could not take the appeal of the accused person, as the court had no jurisdiction to entertain the case.
Nasiru said that the accused could apply for bail through a High Court, and adjourned the case to July 11. (NAN)
