BENJAMIN Kiplagat will start his campaign to qualify for the World Athletics Championships at the second leg of the Samsung Diamond League due in Shanghai today.
The world event is due August in South Korea.
Kiplagat, who last competed at the National Cross Country Championships held in Jinja in February, is the only Ugandan in the race that has the top stars of 3000m steeplechase event.
They include Ruben Ramolefi of France and Kenyan Brimin Kipruto, Richard Mateelong, Paul Koech and Sylus Kosgei- who have all won medals at different international events.
Meanwhile, Alex Malinga and Gerald Omondi will race in the Safaricom Mombasa International Marathon due today.
They arrived in Mombasa on Friday.
