Bosaso — The security forces of the semi-autonomous region of Puntland in northern Somalia on Monday conducted search operations in the neighborhoods of Bosaso port town.
During the operations, the security forces apprehended at least 5 people accused of destabilizing the security and stability of the town.
The security officials said the operations are aimed at assuring peace in Puntland’s commercial hub of Basaso where three people killed on Sunday night.
Earlier, Abdurrahman Sheikh Mohamoud Farole, the leader of Puntland state condemned the increasing insecurity activities in the region.
