Mogadishu — Gen. Sheikh Yusuf Mohammed Siad better known as Indha-adde, a military officer in the interim federal government of Somalia accused Al shabaab on Monday of intending to eliminate Somali people.
He said the reason is that the group is committed to stoking conflict and fighting in the horn of African nation.
Siad made the announcement while speaking to Shabelle Media Network, a local radio station based in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
Talking about Mogadishu’s most recent battles, the military officer said that Somali forces with the help of African Union peacekeepers have made great advances into the areas controlled by Al shabaab.
He hoped that the government troops will soon confiscated the areas remained in their hands.
