Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema‘s agent has made it clear that the France international is not on his way to Premier League side Arsenal.
Reports in England earlier on Sunday suggested that Madrid are ready to cash in on Benzema, with Arsenal as his preferred destination, but Kraim Djaziri downplayed the rumours linking his client with the Gunners.
“Karim has at no time thought about leaving Real Madrid this summer and he has not told me to open talks with Arsenal or any other club,” Djaziri was quoted as saying by AS.
“The report published by Metro is completely false. Karim just wants to stay at Madrid and build on his good performances from the past couple of months.”
The 23-year-old joined Madrid from Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2009. Aside from Arsenal, the attacker has also been linked with Juventus.
