Doha — The Foreign Minister of Burkina Faso and Joint United Nations-African Union Mediator for Peace in Darfur, Djibril Bassolé, has affirmed his keenness to continue as a mediator for the peace process at Doha Forum seeking solution for the conflict in Darfur.
This came when the Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Abdallah Al-Mahmud received Bassolé here and congratulated him on his appointment as the Foreign Minister for his country.
The meeting reviewed the efforts being exerted to complete the peace process in Darfur along the arrangements underway to hold a plenary meeting of stakeholders scheduled to be convened in Doha during 18-23 of the current May.
