Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh has accused Mel Goldberg of defrauding him

Ghana-England friendly match organiser has threatened legal action Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh for claiming his firm has been defrauded by Mel Goldberg.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bahmed Travel and Tours Bandoh’s remarks on radio that painted UK firm black has stirred the latter in action

Bandoh accused the match organiser of being dodgy over a refund of £51,000 owed Bahmed Travel and Tours over ticket sales for the game.

Consequently, Mel Goldberg has threatened to drag Alhaji Bandoh to court should he fail to retract the disparaging statement.

In a statement signed by Mel Goldberg on behalf of Melgoldberg Law, it noted that

“Should I not receive a satisfactory apology from Mr. Bandoh, I will not hesitate to take the appropriate legal action against him, his company and any third party that broadcasts or repeats the slanderous comments he made,”

“My firm has never had any direct dealings with Bahmed Travel & Tours in association with the England Vs Ghana fixture.

“In fact, the only travel agent with whom we had any dealings was African Origin Travels & Sports Tourism and will rely upon our relationship with Mr Samson Deen as evidence of our honesty, integrity and professionalism to refute the comments made by Mr Bandoh.”

According to the English firm, it has enjoyed a ‘warm and a harmonious relationship with the GFA and its president Kwesi Nyantakyi in particular’ built on trust and mutual respect.

According to the statement, the English FA has confirmed to Mel Goldberg similar sentiments and are looking forward to working together with the GFA to propel Ghana to the very highest echelons of the world football stage and accordingly has arranged for Sir David Richards (Chairman of the Premier League, member of the English FA Board and chairman of the English FA International Committee) to accompany his outfit soon in visiting Ghana to assist in the development of Ghana Football.

“My firm continues to enjoy a healthy relationship with the Ghana FA, various Ghana broadcasters, Ghana media, Ghana Businesses and members of the Ghanaian public of which we are duly proud and look forward  to working with you all in the future for the benefit of Ghana and Ghana football,”  the statement said.

Mel Goldberg has been a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales for over 40 years and enjoyed the highest reputation.
