IT was a Sunday of fun as gospel group DMK launched their second album Favour at Ndola’s Broadway Cinema Hall.
The hall was packed and scores of people had no where to sit as the place proved to be small.
One would have thought the Chelsea-Manchester United game would have affected the concert attendance, but it was the opposite.
Most English football fans turned up in their sports wear depicting which team they supported. A huge part of the audience was young, confirming DMK’s appeal and influence on young people.
A number of young and upcoming singers and rappers were on hand displaying their talents to a happy crowd that kept chanting throughout the concert.
Some of those who gave musical solidarity to the youth gospel trio included, popular gospel artiste Kings Malembe who often duets with Papa Bruno.
Award winning Namibian songbird, Princess G got the audience excited being an honoured guest.
Christian Voice presenter Lombe Machilika was on hand to MC the concert which was dubbed Gospel Alive.
Ultimately DMK, comprising Davies Ingwe, Mark Kabalu and Kelvin Mwaba are getting established in their career that spurns 10 years. For this gospel trio, the best is yet come.
