Steve Bruce still has a long list of injuries to contend with, which was added to last week by Lee Cattermole and Michael Turner missing the win at Bolton. Cattermole should be fit to play but Turner will face a late fitness test ahead of the game. Bolo Zenden should keep his place in the starting line-up after his performance at the Reebok.

Mick McCarthy is likely to keep to the same starting line-up that beat West Brom last weekend. He is still without defenders Ronald Zubar and Steven Mouyokolo, and midfielder David Edwards, but Kevin Doyle could return to the bench.
- Wolves have not won at Sunderland since a 2-0 win in September 1993 when Mike Small and Geoff Thomas goals secured the win in Division One.
- There has not been a goalless draw between the two teams since March 1984.
- Sunderland have failed to keep a clean sheet at home since New Year’s Day.
- Whilst manager of Sunderland, Mick McCarthy (pictured right) achieved a 42 per cent win average in his three years in the Black Cats hotseat.
