Mombasa DJs Clash Over Equipment

Mombasa-based DJ Jeffy is crying foul after Mombasa artiste VJ Delph failed to honour his promise to deliver deejaying machines worth Sh180, 000 that he had already paid for.

The two, who worked together for two months at Club Bulls, signed an agreement at the Kisauni CID offices in which VJ Delph committed himself to either deliver the two Pioneer CDJ MK2 players and a mixer or refund the Sh180, 000, which he received on January 29, on or before April 1. However, the machines have neither been delivered nor the money refunded. DJ Jeffy says VJ Delph has been ignoring his calls.

Delph, however, said he was not the one selling the machines. He said the one who was to sell the machines had travelled leading to the delay.

He said the machines would be delivered on May 11 (yesterday). The two are currently not in talking terms. “He should stop being impatient. The owner of the machines has returned from where he had gone and the machines will be delivered to him on Wednesday,” said Delph.
