Agent: Premier League clubs in pole position for Anderlecht’s Romelu Lukaku

Roger Henrotay, the agent of Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku, says Premier League clubs are in “pole position” to sign his client.

As revealed exclusively by Goal.com in April, Chelsea are leading the chase for the 17-year-old, but must sell two strikers to make way for him.

As well as interest from a number of other sides in England, including Tottenham, Manchester City and Everton, Roma have been linked with a move for the striker.

But Henrotay insists he has not heard of any interest from the Serie A side, while adding that Lukaku has not agreed terms with any Premier League clubs.

“I do not know anything about the alleged interest of Roma. It is all speculation as far as I am concerned. I cannot confirm or deny whether the Roma directors have set their sights on Romelu,” Henrotay said to Il Romanista.

“I can confirm that the clubs from the Premier League are sitting in pole position to secure the services of Romelu. It is not true that he has already agreed terms with one squad in particular, though.”
