Luanda — The Angolan minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, appealed to local and foreign entrepreneurs in the tourism sector to invest, with a view to ensuring a sustainable tourism for nationals and visitors.
According to the minister, the investments will also create new jobs and boost the hotel industry to the benefit of local communities.
Bornito de Sousa was speaking at the opening of the 28th General Assembly of the Union of Portuguese Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA), underway in Luanda.
Among other aspects, Bornito de Sousa highlighted the country’s tourist potential and the hospitality and joyful attitude of its people.
The cultural wealth and artistic heritage, as well as the natural beauties, were also mentioned by the minister.
On the other hand, the minister of Territory Administration stressed the creation of new parks and zones of environmental protection countrywide, including the Okavango-Zambezi border project and the Noah’s Ark programme which enabled the restocking of Kissama park, in northern Bengo province
