Freetown — FC Kallon coach Charlie Wright has called on his boys not to underestimate Area Best of Makeni in their midweek Premier League clash on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Freetown.
The Cavaliers would be seeking their second successive victory in the Africell-sponsored Salone Premier League when they host the league’s new boys but Coach Wright has warned his boys to take nothing for granted.
FC Kallon are favourites in this clash as Area Best are yet to secure their first points in the league after five matches played but according to Wright, the visitors can spring a surprise.
“We know they are yet to win or draw a single match after five matches but they are capable of springing surprises; we must focus on our game and ensure we get the maximum points,” he said. “But I am confident we can bag all three points and keep on with our winning form, I only hope the boys have a good day like they did against Central Parade last week.”
Area Best could go with six games without a point but they can still spring surprises despite being tagged as underdogs.
Victory for FC Kallon will see them move to fifth position on the log as they are currently lying on eighth position with six points. A win for Area Best will still see them at the foot of the table, sharing the same points with Kissy All Stars.
