A class one pupil of Akwaboah No2 L.A primary at a small town in the Asunafo North District has died mysteriously following what family members say was a curse invoked on her by a classmate.
Maa Afia, 8, died under mysterious circumstances, Wednesday morning.
She was alleged to have been cursed by a 6-year old classmate only identified as Belinda.
Belinda was alleged to have invoked the deity of a local river called Betinko out of anger after a small disagreement in school.
According to the story, Maa Afia’s whole body swelled up suddenly after which relatives sought spiritual assistance but it was too late for her.
Latifah Adams, a sister of the deceased said the situation has shocked the whole family.
Belinda, who hails from Berekum, has been sacked from the school and sent back to Berekum in fear that she might be attacked.
