West Ham first-team coach Kevin Keen has refused to give up on the club’s fight against relegation, despite being bottom of the Premier League table with two games to go.

The Hammers have not won in eight matches and currently find themselves four points from safety after their draw against Blackburn at the weekend, but Keen is adamant they can still pull themselves out of trouble.

“There’s no way we’re conceding that relegation,” he told Sky Sports News.

“We threw everything at Blackburn on Saturday. Unfortunately we came up against a brick wall called Christopher Samba and he was fantastic for Blackburn and earned them a vital point.

“Perhaps that’s going to be a vital point for us.”

Avram Grant’s side meet fellow relegation rivals Wigan in their next match and the Hammers need to secure all three points to give themselves a chance of avoiding relegation to the Championship.

Keen added: “If we can get our win at Wigan next Saturday I’m pretty sure the last game against Sunderland it’ll be a full house and we can get three points there.

“It’s been a topsy-turvy season in terms of how many points are needed. Wolves’ result on Sunday makes it a little more difficult.

“We’ll do our job. We’ll get our six points and hopefully that’ll be enough to keep us in the Premier League.”
