Pregnancy Saga: Rev. Owusu Bempah Reports To DOVVSU

Reverent Isaac Owusu Bempah, General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry international one of the two pastors involved in a controversy over the paternity of a nine-month old child yesterday reported himself to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) in Accra.

Pastor Bempah and Pastor Felix Garoo, a former junior pastor of the Church, are accused by the baby’s m other, 25-year-old Marian Asamoah of having sexual relations with her while she served as house-help to Pastor Bempah. Pastor Bempah was sported by the Times newspaper in the company of his lawyer and some church members at DOVVSU to give his statement.

Also sighted was Pastor Garoo, a complainant in a death treat case being investigated by DOVVSU alongside the sex scandal. Chief Inspector Irene Oppong, Greater Accra Regional Public Relations Officer of DOVVSU, told the Times newspaper that in his caution statement to the police, Pastor Bempah denied issuing a death threat to Pastor Garoo. He also denied having sex and having a child with Marian Asamoah, his former house help”, he added.
