The pregnant comedian first embodied the former vice presidential candidate during America’s 2008 election and once again drew huge laughs from a live audience when she depicted the republican once again on the weekly television show.
Wearing Sarah’s signature red blazer, glasses and hairstyle, Tina also used the opportunity to poke fun at news anchor Katie Couric, who recently announced her departure from network CBS.
In character, she quipped: “First I want to acknowledge that this week we finally vanquished one of the world’s great villains and I for one am thrilled to say good riddance to Katie Couric.”
The sketch was shown in the run up to next year’s election as part of the show’s ‘GOP 2012 Undeclared Candidates Debate’ segment.
Tina has spoken of her disapproval of Sarah’s policies before, once saying she would “leave Earth” if the Republicans won the 2008 election.
