Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah And His Pastor Impregnates 25-Year-Old Marian

Two pastors are embroiled in a controversy over the paternity of a nine-month old child whose mother claims she had sexual relationship with both men of God.

The 25-year-old mother of the baby boy, Marian Asamoah, who was a former house help of the Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Minister International, said she was sleeping with Rev. Owusu Bempah, as well as a junior pastor of the church, Felix Garoo.

The real father of the boy has become a subject of controversy which the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the police is investigating. Chief Inspector Irene Oppong, DOVVSU Greater Accra Public Relations Officer, said the unit was investigating the matter following a report made by Ms. Asamoah who it is said, believes Rev. Owusu Bempah is responsible for the pregnancy.

Pastor Garoo, who is no longer with Rev Bempah’s church, is said to have called for a DNA test, and so has Rev. Bempah. Chief Inspect Oppong , told the Times newspaper that if the police establish that the two had sexual relationship with Miss Asamoah, then the police would be compelled to request for a DNA test to ascertain the true paternity of the child.
