Azekwoh to INEC: Declare me winner of Delta North senatorial poll

The Senatorial candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, in Delta North Senatorial District, Mr Jude Azekwoh, has petitioned the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega, praying that he should be declared the winner of the election conducted into the Senate on the April 9, 2011.

He also said that he remains the validly nominated DPP senatorial candidate for Delta North Senatorial District and not Mr Ned Nwoko,  adding that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa’s name was not submitted by his party within the stipulated time to INEC.

According to him, “I have chosen to petition Prof. Jega to ensure that justice is  done in respect of the National Assembly elections for the Senatorial seat, conducted on April 9, 2011 as I am the DPP candidate, who  stood for elections and as such, I am conversant with everything that happened before, during and after the elections.”
